Kura Sushi USA officially opened its doors at Exchange at Gwinnett in Buford, Georgia, on Saturday, May 13. Marking the Peach State’s second Kura Revolving Sushi Bar restaurant and the brand’s 46th location in the United States, guests can soon enjoy premium, authentic Japanese cuisine and a memorable, interactive dining experience. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 dine-in guests on May 14 through May 16 will receive a Demon Slayer x Kura Sushi collaboration towel.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Exchange at Gwinnett’s strong mix of retailers, restaurants and entertainment and we are confident that Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will be an exciting addition that will attract local Atlantans,” says Robert Kluger, Chief Development Officer at Kura Sushi USA. “Since opening our first Georgia location in 2017, the Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Doraville has grown to be one of our best performing restaurants system-wide and we are looking forward to catering further to the loyal enthusiasm received from the greater Atlanta community with our soon-to-open Buford restaurant.”

Offering more than 140 fresh and delicious dishes free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives, and colorings, the menu features a wide range of nigiri, rolls, noodle dishes and desserts, as well as an ever-changing selection of limited-time options introduced each month, referred to as Kura’s Monthly Discoveries. In addition to serving high-quality food prepared with authenticity in mind, a pinnacle of the Kura Sushi “eater-tainment” experience is its unique convergence of human and tech-powered service. Guests can select sushi plates from the revolving sushi bar that circulates throughout the restaurant and place food and drink orders from the touch panel tablet located at each table. Once the kitchen staff prepares the order by-hand, dishes zip down the top layer express belt – also known as the “sushi highway” – directly to the table. Further expanding the brand’s tech-focused dining experience, Kur-B the KuraBot assists waitstaff by delivering drink orders tableside, providing a truly unique and engaging experience for guests of all ages.

Kura Sushi’s Bikkura Pon Prize System is another integral part of its interactive and tech-driven “eater-tainment” dining experience with collaborative prize partnerships. The system is comprised of a prize machine, touch panel and plate disposal slot located at every table. Connected via sensors, the touch panel registers the number of plates dispensed into the plate disposal slot. For every five plates inserted, a short animation plays on the touch panel and for every fifteen plates inserted, a prize is dispensed from the prize machine. Kura Sushi is currently partnered with popular manga and anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba for its “Demon Slayer x Kura Sushi Bikkura Pon Series 2 Collaboration,” with a limited-time prize collection that includes can badges, zipper accessories, and acrylic stand keychains featuring the series’ beloved characters.

“Kura Sushi’s innovative and interactive dining experience has become a worldwide phenomenon, and it is now taking Atlanta by storm,” says Sierra Tuthill, Marketing Director of the Exchange at Gwinnett. “We are thrilled to bring Kura’s blend of tradition and technology to our Buford community. With their commitment to excellence in quality, service, and customer loyalty, we believe Kura will undoubtedly be a great fit for the Exchange at Gwinnett.”
