Set for a grand opening on Oahu, Hawaii, Kitchen Door Wai Kai will unveil in February 2023 a unique dual-concept dining experience: Plaza Grill and Boardwalk Cafe, led by Michelin-awarded Chef Todd Humphries.
The signature restaurant, located at Wai Kai, Oahu’s first-of-its-kind waterfront recreation and entertainment destination, is inspired by the beauty and bounty of Hawaii. Complete with lagoon views, the upper level Plaza Grill is both a family restaurant and a dining destination for the culinary adventurer, offering a seasonal global menu curated with innovative flavors and local ingredients. A complement to its other half, the energetic Boardwalk Cafe offers open-air dining and an all-day menu of eclectic yet traditional favorites.
Guests can enjoy a variety of fresh salads, wood-fired pizzas, Asian-inspired noodles, local seafood, steak, house made desserts and a craft beverage program of spirits, beer, wine and sake. Future plans include curated tastemaker events with celebrity guest chefs, wine tastings, and other exclusive culinary experiences.
You may be familiar with the beloved Kitchen Door Napa, which opened in 2011 and has since been serving sophisticated cuisine with an emphasis on local, seasonal and handmade fare, as well as a thoughtfully curated full bar program.
