After a decade of offering a taste of Spain’s culinary culture at Cúrate Bar de Tapas in Asheville, North Carolina, CEO/co-founder Katie Button announces the expansion of the Cúrate brand with Cúrate at Home, an online, chef-driven marketplace for Spanish ingredients and prepared foods. Cúrate, which means “cure yourself” in Spanish, celebrates and honors Spanish culinary traditions through thoughtfully crafted experiences. Cúrate at Home joins Cúrate Tapas Bar and La Bodega by Cúrate restaurants, as well as Cúrate Spanish Wine Club and Cúrate Trips.

Cúrate at Home offers a thoughtful selection of prepared foods made by the Cúrate kitchen, Spanish specialty items, imported ingredients, cooking equipment and other items designed to encourage enthusiastic home cooks to create a portal to Spain in their kitchen.

“We want to empower people to recreate the feeling of Spain in their homes,” says Button. “Cúrate at Home was born out of the pandemic, but it’s proven to be a viable business on its own, and truly resonates with guests and lovers of Spanish food and culture. Our close connection with Spanish producers, paired with food we produce in-house, and the very best hand-selected ingredients, creates a truly unique offering. What started as a short-term pivot out of our cafe and market, La Bodega by Cúrate, will continue to evolve into a hub for storytelling, interactive recipes, and educational videos from our team.”

“Through Cúrate at Home, we’re creating one more way for people to access and engage with Spanish food and culture. Beyond the products available, Cúrate at Home reflects the same hospitality and service philosophy implemented in our restaurants,” says Felix Meana, co-founder. “When Katie and I entertain at home, these are the specialty foods, pantry items, tools and ingredients that we use most – they are part of our lifestyle, and it’s exciting for us to be able to share that with people across the United States!”

Button and Meana return regularly to Felix’s native Spain to carefully source ingredients, hand-selecting items from a network of producers and purveyors with whom they have cultivated relationships. These best-in-class ingredients and pantry staples are selected based on quality and taste for use at the restaurants, and are now available directly from Cúrate at Home, including Cinco Jotas Charcuterie, Güeyu Mar and other top-quality conservas, paella ingredients and tools, Molino extra virgin olive oils, Spanish cheeses and more. Available nationwide via overnight or two-day shipping, Cúrate at Home is an ideal way to relive the Cúrate experience, stock up on pantry staples, source unique and thoughtful gifts, celebrate a special occasion at home, or recreate a delicious meal for friends and family.
