Today, JOEY Restaurant Group announces its first venture into the Lone Star State, JOEY Uptown, opening July 28. 

Located at the Houston Galleria, the 10,288 square foot space (8,434 square foot interior and 1,854 square foot patio) will mark one of the largest one-story restaurants for the Canadian group. Texans seeking a refined yet casual lunch or dinner experience with world-class hospitality will undoubtedly welcome JOEY Uptown to the neighborhood. This location will bring handcrafted, inventive menu offerings to Houston’s iconic food scene. From addictive roasted corn guacamole to the to the exquisite flame-seared salmon sushi, the JOEY Uptown menu is sure to satisfy all cravings. 

JOEY Uptown offers a diverse selection of wine and signature and classic cocktails. Stay cool this summer with the refreshing Watermelon Drink, a seasonal patio favorite made with fresh watermelon. Or try the signature JOEY Supers — classic highballs with a citrus slush twist.

Guests can expect to step into a spacious dining area lined with natural finishes of wood, textured concrete, brushed brass, terrazzo, stone and leather. The beautiful wine wall showcases JOEY’s favorite bottles with custom glass and metal shelving. A large-scale Bocci lighting installation illuminates the restaurant along with stunning ceiling sculptures. The walls are adorned with stylized prints from Texas-based artist, Jon Flaming, along with Julian Opie portraits. Extensive landscaping throughout the interior and patio, including a living green ceiling, create an inviting oasis. The climate-controlled patio is the perfect place to enjoy a drink with friends and family this summer. 

Chris Mills, Executive Chef of JOEY Restaurants, has assembled an esteemed culinary team to bring globally inspired cuisine to the Houston location.  Alongside Executive Director of Culinary and Top Chef Canada winner, Matthew Stowe, the entire staff is preparing to give guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Houston is not only gaining a unique dining spot for its residents, but 300 jobs have been created with the opening of JOEY Uptown to date.
