J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc., which owns and operates a collection of complementary upscale restaurants, announced the opening of a new J. Alexander’s restaurant in Lexington.

Lonnie J. Stout II, president and CEO of J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc., says the local J. Alexander’s restaurant is now welcoming guests at its location in The Summit at Fritz Farm at the Northeast corner of Man O’ War Blvd. and Nicholasville Road.

“With the opening of our new J. Alexander’s restaurant, we are extremely pleased to begin providing our discerning Lexington guests with an extraordinary dining experience,” Stout says. “This new location is the latest in our collection of upscale restaurants that focus on delivering the highest quality of lunch and dinner offerings by a highly trained professional staff.”

The J. Alexander’s in Lexington is being managed by Harry Whitsell, whose career includes 15 years with J. Alexander’s restaurants. Operating hours are 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Known for its wood-fired cuisine, the J. Alexander’s menu features a wide selection of American classics—hand-cut steaks, prime rib of beef and fresh seafood, along with a large assortment of interesting salads, sandwiches, wood-fired Artisan pizzas and desserts. “Our Lexington restaurant has a culinary staff capable of executing a 95 percent made-from-scratch menu,” Stout says.

J. Alexander’s in Lexington also has a full-service bar that features unique cocktails and an outstanding selection of award-winning wines by the glass and bottle.

The new J. Alexander’s restaurant, with its unique architectural design for the Lexington market, is comprised of approximately 8,100 square feet with seating for more than 220 guests.   It employs an operating staff of approximately 100 full and part-time professionals.

“Guests enjoy dining in a comfortable, upscale environment,” Stout says. “In creating this environment, we use European stemware for all of our wine service, high quality custom plate ware, roomy seating packages, including Herman Miller Eames chairs, furniture grade tabletops, commissioned original art and a high level of detail finishes in all areas of the restaurant.”

The Summit at Fritz Farm is planned as a distinctive outdoor fashion center located in the core of Lexington’s retail corridor. The new J. Alexander’s upscale restaurant is opening in advance of the development. Once completed, the Summit at Fritz Farm will feature national brands and local boutiques specializing in fashion retail, hospitality, recreation, home goods, a boutique hotel and a residential component with 306 condo-like apartment units all in one convenient location.
