Intura Solutions Partners with CIS


Intura Solutions, LP (Intura), a leading manufacturer of point-of-sale (POS) and enterprise management software for quick service, fast casual, and delivery restaurant concepts, today announced a technology partnership with Compact Information Systems (CIS) of Redmond, Washington, to provide automated map sectoring technology for the Intura Vision point-of-sale (POS) solution primarily targeted for delivery restaurants.

"Our customers needed a solution to create sectors (or zones) within a delivery area without having to spend a lot of time manually entering them from a map," states Gary W. Peek II, president of Intura. "Intura partnered with CIS to create an automated solution where our customers can easily and quickly define their delivery area and sector grids within a few minutes."

Customers may purchase this from Intura for $495 and can access the service through the Intura website. The first step allows the specific delivery area to be defined on a map followed by selecting the size of the sector grid to be applied to the target area. After the information is submitted to the system, a file is generated that includes the street list, ZIP+4, carrier route, and sector data to be downloaded into the Intura Vision POS system.

"Having the opportunity to blend the knowledge of our data centric expertise with Intura's POS technology for delivery restaurants has truly allowed us to develop a product that can bring significant value to our customers," says Joe Ewers, vice president of sales for CIS.

The automated map sectoring technology is only available for restaurant locations in the United States.

Some of Intura's customers include Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza, Trios Healthy Sandwiches, Hungry Howie's Pizza, Dunkin' Donuts, Pizza Plus, Ba-Da Wings!, Jet City Pizza, Toppers Pizza, New York Fries, and Pizza Inn. In 2001, Domino's Pizza selected the Vision software product as its next generation store system now known as Domino's Pulse.
