Can you imagine any public restroom without toilet paper, seat covers, paper towels, or soap? HOSPECO, the leading supplier of vended menstrual care products, believes that menstrual care products are necessities, too. For years, the company has worked with various women’s organizations to advocate for universal access to these products. That commitment takes its next step with the introduction of HOSPECO’s new Period Partner microsite.
Located at www.hospeco.com/periodpartner, it contains resources to help people start their own Period Partner campaigns, as well as product information, case studies, and tools to guide businesses looking to join the movement. Through its Period Partner initiative, the company hopes to generate a change in what is expected in well-appointed, away-from-home restrooms.
Almost every person who menstruates has experienced an unexpected need for menstrual care supplies away from home. In fact, 86 percent of people surveyed report that they’ve started their periods unexpectedly in public without the supplies they needed.
“The bathroom equality movement is real and these products should be as readily available as toilet paper and just as free,” says Bill Hemann, HOSPECO vice president of sales and marketing. “We hope the new microsite will continue the conversation about this important issue. It’s time for public restrooms to evolve into the 21st century. It shouldn’t have taken this long.”
