For adding new excitement to dining tables, few things equal the arrival of a new Fiesta color—and 2019 brings the introduction of Meadow, a soft medium shade of green. Named for the way it recalls the colors of an airy spring meadow, the newest Fiesta color brings an impeccable balance of calm and bright, making it ideal for any dining occasion.

Meadow is the 51st shade of Fiesta introduced by the Homer Laughlin China Company since the colorful and iconic made-in-America dinnerware debuted in 1936. As has become a custom, the announcement came at The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

“Meadow is a soothing hue that complements a wide range of colors in the Fiesta color family,” says Rich Brinkman, Homer Laughlin vice president of sales and marketing. “It is a color that’s incredibly earthy and easy to live with.”

At any given time, Fiesta has 14 or 15 colors in its spectrum. With the addition of Meadow, Sage is retiring. Sage had been in production since 2015.

Fiesta’s 2019 colors will include Ivory, Slate, Scarlet, Poppy, Daffodil, Sunflower, Lemongrass, Shamrock, Meadow, Turquoise, Lapis, Cobalt, Mulberry, and White.

Meadow lends itself to a variety of color combinations that are sure to please chefs looking for creative plating options and mix-and-match tabletops. For a vintage diner feel, pair Meadow with Scarlet. Meadow with Mulberry gives a French countryside feel. Meadow with Turquoise and Ivory is serene and calm. Go for moody sophistication with Meadow, Cobalt, and White. Create a rainbow by combining Meadow with Fiesta’s brightest shades.

Meadow will be available for sale in summer 2019 and will include a variety of plates, platters, bowls, mugs, the signature disk pitcher, and serving pieces.
