Home Run Inn crossed town to introduce its first Northside Chicago restaurant in the Lakeview neighborhood at 3215 North Sheffield Avenue. The South Side icon and home of Chicago’s authentic thin crust pizza hosted a private ribbon cutting on October 13, including a friends and family reception, and officially opened to the public on October 15.

The celebration kicked off in the evening of October 13 with a private ribbon cutting ceremony. Dan Costello, president of Home Run Inn, spoke about the integrity of the third generation family-owned business and proudly announced a portion of the Grand Opening weekend sales would be donated to Lakeview Pantry. Costello cut the ribbon with Alderman Tom Tunney of the 44th ward to reveal the first Home Run Inn location in Lakeview.

October 15, Home Run Inn celebrated its official Grand Opening of the Lakeview location by welcoming Chicago locals into the restaurant for dine in, carry out, and delivery service that reaches north to Irving Park Road, east to Lake Michigan, south to Fullerton Ave. and west to Damen Ave. The first 100 guests in line at the Grand Opening were gifted promotional coupons as a personal thank you for their outstanding loyalty.  The coupons were valid for one free Large Two Topping Home Run Inn Pizza.

A percentage of proceeds from the Grand Opening weekend, totaling $5,000, was donated to support Lakeview Pantry in their efforts to eliminate hunger in the Lakeview community. Guests dined with integrity and were proud to support their new local pizza restaurant.
