In preparation for “Giving Tuesday” on November 29, Heinz announced a “Selfie for Good” program where Heinz will donate up to $1.57 when guests take a selfie with the Heinz Ketchup bottle at participating restaurants nationwide. The iconic ketchup brand pledges to donate up to $200,000 to Stop Hunger Now by March 1 to help families facing hunger.
It’s easy to participate. Snap a selfie with a ‘Selfie for Good’ Heinz Ketchup bottle at participating restaurants and text it to 85548. Heinz will donate $1 to Stop Hunger Now for every selfie, and if participants upload and share their selfie with the hashtag #heinzselfieforgood, the brand will give an additional $0.57. With your participation, Heinz is hoping to meet its goal of a $200,000 donation.
“This new initiative is a fun, interactive way for restaurant-goers to help eliminate global hunger and malnutrition,” says Katie Thomas, brand manager for Kraft Heinz FoodService. “In the time it takes to snap a selfie, guests at participating restaurants can make an impact by providing access to food for those in need.”
