Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration, a leading provider of commercial refrigeration components and systems, is releasing a new addition to its outdoor condensing unit product line, the G-Series ½-6 HP outdoor condensing unit. Featuring a new cabinet design optimized to incorporate the innovative microchannel condenser coil, in conjunction with efficient scroll compressor technology, the new condensing unit series enhances serviceability while delivering operational efficiency gains for the end-user.

While maintaining the performance characteristics of the current Heatcraft outdoor condensing units' design, the G-Series outdoor condensing units are manufactured with new, innovative features, such as multi-temperature, multi-refrigerant capable scroll compressors, an 8 percent+ smaller unit footprint with a 50 percent+ larger electrical box and microchannel condenser coils standard on each unit. Additionally, the new design allows for greater serviceability to reduce installation and maintenance time of integral components.
The G-Series outdoor condensing unit provides end-users with multiple ½ – 6 HP compressor options when configuring condensing units. Because the G-Series condensing unit features scroll compressor technology, including 1-1.5 HP scroll compressors, Heatcraft can offer a 3–8 percent savings over the traditional medium temperature scroll compressor product line while incorporating new enhancements such as multi-temperature, multi-refrigerant (R404A/507, R407A/C) capability. Additionally, the Heatcraft hermetic compressor offering includes newly released InterLink™ hermetic compressors, with medium and low temperature models available for use with R404A/507.
