Hardwood Hospitality's Tequila Social to Open July 24

Harwood Hospitality Group’s fourteenth concept, Tequila Social, will officially open its doors on Monday, July 24, in celebration of National Tequila Day - the third full-service restaurant on the Katy Trail in Dallas.

Located on the ground floor of the 3100 McKinnon Building at 3100 McKinnon St, Suite G100, Dallas, TX 75201, Tequila Social seeks to bring a relaxed West Texas inspired concept to the area featuring Tex-Mex dishes, an extensive margarita and frozen drinks program, weekend brunch on both Saturday and Sunday and an expansive patio.

Conveniently located on the Katy Trail, Tequila Social makes for the perfect new hangout spot to stop by for a cold drink after a trail walk, gather with friends, or watch a sporting event.

The 10,000-square-foot space is designed with natural tones and paired with traditional Mexican inspired furniture to offer seating for 300+ guests between the indoor and outdoor area. The new restaurant also features an ample dog-friendly patio with over 200 seats, 10+ 60-inch TVs to watch sporting events, fire pits, social games and will host live music on the weekends.

“Harwood Hospitality could not be more excited to add this Social Dining Experience to the Katy Trail. Our oversized outdoor patio will be one of the best outdoor dining and socializing experiences in the DFW area," explains Matt Minichino, Chief Operating Officer for Harwood Hospitality.

Taylor Kearney, Vice President of Harwood Hospitality has created a menu featuring Tex-Mex classics using the highest quality ingredients that Harwood is known for, as well as of course our very own HWD Beef.

The simple yet well-executed menu includes starters such as the Cantina Queso made with five cheese blend, roasted chilis, pico de gallo and option to add pulled brisket: housemade Empanadas with the Harwood Beef program’s own ground beef, chef’s special cheese blend, poblano sour cream and cotija.

Tex-Mex classics include the Charred HWD (Harwood Beef) Skirt Steak Fajitas, Marinated Chicken Fajitas, Cheese Enchiladas and more, along with the Cantina Cheeseburger again using their very own HWD Wagyu beef, to lighter choices such as a Shrimp & Avocado Salad with baby kale, avocado, pico de gallo, quinoa, cilantro-lime dressing and the Marinated Watermelon Salad with arugula, peanuts, avocado, pico de gallo, and tajin vinaigrette.

Tequila Social’s beverage program includes margaritas, both frozen and on the rocks, a variety of ranch waters and Mexican-Inspired cocktails, domestic and Mexican beer and wine by the bottle or glass.

The beverage menu was made to pair well with our approachable Tex-Mex menu. “Our goal was to make it for easy drinking and hanging out with friends (even furry ones) on our patio or catching a game on one of the big screens,” says Jeremy Barnes, General Manager of Tequila Social.

Standouts include the Blueberry Basil Margarita, Blood Orange Coconut Margarita, Smokey Piña Margarita, Frozen Creamsicle Margarita, Melon Ranch Water, Mexican Mule made with lime, firewater bitters, Herradura Reposado and ginger beer; Cactus Flower Agua Fresca made with Nue Vodka, St. Elder elderflower liqueur, cucumber mint agua fresca; Trail Rider ‘Loma created with El Jimador Blanco, Aperol, Q grapefruit soda, lime juice and salt rim; and the Social Smash with Seagram’s gin, green bell pepper and jalapeno honey, pineapple, tajin rim.

Two entrances are available including the 3100 McKinnon building (entry through the 1st floor of the Parking Garage) and another directly off the Katy Trail.

Tequila Social will officially open on Monday, July 24, National Tequila Day, for lunch, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch (Saturday & Sunday).
