Hai Hospitality Bringing Loro to Addison in 2022

Hai Hospitality announced that Loro, the Asian Smokehouse and Bar that is a culinary partnership between James Beard Foundation Award-winning Pitmaster Aaron Franklin and Chef Tyson Cole, will open a location in Addison, Texas at 14999 Montfort Drive. Slated for Fall 2022, this will be the fourth location for the brand and the second in the D/FW metroplex. Loro is Aaron Franklin’s first restaurant venture outside of his acclaimed, award-winning Franklin Barbecue in Austin.

The original Loro opened in 2018 in Austin, Texas; the second location opened in Old East Dallas in July 2021 and the third is set to open in the Heights neighborhood of Houston in early 2022.  Loro is a part of the celebrated restaurant group that counts Uchi and Uchiko in Austin; Uchi in Houston; Uchi and Uchibā in Dallas; Uchi in Denver; Uchi Miami and the recently announced Uchibā Austin among its concepts. The Addison news signifies an exciting period for the concept and its creators, as they prepare for the continuing growth and  expect to announce plans for additional markets in the near future.

Loro Dallas will feature a variety of dishes created by Cole, Franklin and Vice President of Culinary Jack Yoss that balance Southeast Asian flavors with the rich texture of traditional Texas BBQ.  There will be an expansive deck for dining as well as an outdoor waiting space with large existing trees that will remain.  There will be a covered outdoor bar for waiting guests.  Distinct design threads that refer to Loro will remain with the Addison concept, but guests can expect to see different lighting fixtures, furniture packages, and new material finishes to reflect its home in Addison.

The planned square footage for the space is 5,200 square feet with 140 interior seats and 25 interior tables. The expansive outdoor space will feature 150 seats with 65 seats in the wait area.
