Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, the award-winning Brooklyn style pizzeria, announces the opening of its newest location in Wichita, Kansas. The pizzeria, located at 1441 N. Webb Road in the former Zoës Kitchen building within Waterfront Plaza on the northwest corner of 13th Street and Webb Road, will open on Thursday, April 27.
Grimaldi’s Waterfront Plaza represents the brand’s second location in Kansas and 45th nationwide. The family-friendly restaurant includes 3,128 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including a 50-seat covered patio equipped with fans and heaters as well as a main dining area with 68 seats. Interiors showcase classic New York décor with the brand’s signature red and white checkered tablecloths, handcrafted wine bottle chandeliers and iconic black and white still photographs of New York City, reminiscent of the city where the renowned eatery first began.
“Grimaldi’s first location in Kansas at the Prairiefire Mall in Overland Park has been successfully operating for years. We are thrilled to have found the perfect location to expand our presence in Kansas,” says Grimaldi’s Pizzeria CEO Joseph Ciolli. “We look forward to introducing the Wichita community to Grimaldi’s signature dining experience and award-winning Brooklyn style pizza when our doors officially open on April 27.”
Pizza lovers in Wichita will enjoy Grimaldi’s coal fired, brick-oven pizza and calzones – made with a secret recipe dough, sliced fresh mozzarella cheese, and techniques dating back more than 100 years in Brooklyn – along with salads, starters, and desserts. Grimaldi’s Waterfront Plaza will also offer a full bar program with handcrafted cocktails, premium and local craft beers, and a robust wine list, including Grimaldi’s own bottlings of Mille Gradi wines.
Guests who prefer to enjoy the Grimaldi’s experience in the comfort of their own home can place orders for carry-out or delivery from the Grimaldi’s website or delivery orders via DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Rewards members will earn points with every order, including via dine-in, phone, mobile app and the Grimaldi’s website. This location will be open Sunday – Thursday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
