In celebration of World Turtle Day and its first year being plastic straw free, The Greene Turtle, whose menu is highlighted by crab-based dishes and other seafood accents, is offering a VIP experience to members of its Rewards program, including an opportunity to name a sea turtle that the company is sponsoring and a chance to win a patio party for one lucky winner whose name is chosen and six of their friends, plus a $250 tab.
Over the past year of being plastic straw free, The Greene Turtle has prevented an estimated 6 million straws from endangering marine life by being discarded after a single use. In addition to continuing its straw free practice and keeping even more straws out of the ecosystem, The Greene Turtle also is donating $1 for every cocktail ordered today that is made with Naked Turtle Rum and $1 for every in-store purchase today of a Turtle t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt to the Sea Turtle Conservancy. Last year, the company donated $10,000 to the organization.
