On Tuesday January 10th, North Carolina’s most prolific restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias of Giorgios Hospitality Group will open Giorgio Pizza bar, located in North Hills at 141 Park, near GHG’s wildly successful Rosewater Kitchen & Bar (in the former Zoe’s Kitchen space). Giorgio Pizza Bar – the 13th restaurant in Giorgios Hospitality Group – reflects Bakatsias’ love for convivial Italian pizzerias and European cafés, and is rounded out with a full menu of appetizers, salads, pastas, entrees and a curated wine and cocktail program. Giorgio Pizza Bar will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 4:30-9pm and Sunday from 10:30-9pm – and offers pizza and home cooking to-go! Stay tuned for hours expanding to include lunch through dinner! Follow @GiorgioPizzaBar and www.pizzabargiorgio.com for the menu.

At Giorgio Pizza Bar, Chef Jefe Lubiano’s thin, hand-tossed, sourdough pizzas are the star. With nine pizzas on the menu, and additional blackboard specials exploring other regional pizza styles, guests will choose from endless variety. Lubiano’s chef-driven pizzas can be enjoyed as an individual meal alongside a salad, or shared as an appetizer before indulging in larger meat and fish dishes. Expect classics like Margherita and Diavolo with pepperoni, as well as more adventurous, seasonally driven pies. Vegetarian options include the Verdura (with artichoke, kale, fennel and pesto), the Ornella (with charred pear, gorgonzola, rosemary and Cacio Pepe) and the Fellini (with walnut pesto and smoked mushrooms). Meatier options include the Eggplant Milanese (with blackened Broccolini, Sausage, Fennel, and Eggplant), or the spicy surf and turf combination named after the glamorous Sophia Loren (with soppressata, pineapple, shrimp, cherry peppers and smoked paprika aioli), and a Calzone with spicy pepperoni and Campo.

Don’t miss the opportunity to begin with unctuous Arancini with mushrooms and taleggio, Fritto Misto, Sicilian style meatballs, fresh salads or show-stopping charcuterie and cheese board with agrodolce – or make a meal of it with a bottle of wine. While pasta lovers will appreciate a variety of classics reinterpreted – from light saffron scented Shrimp Risotto and Tomato Linguine to heartier Lasagnetta with Bolognese and Taleggio or roast duck Strozzapretti. Complete your feast at Giorgio Pizza Bar with composed dishes — from Osso Buco and Chicken Saltimbocca to Black Bass – and finish with sorbetto, gelato or Tiramisu dusted with truffles!

The all-Italian wine list and craft cocktails make it easy to pair every experience — from a casual pizza night to a festive family feast.

Designed to be welcoming and romantic at day and night, Bakatsias lends his signature theatrical design expertise to this casual 100-seat dining room, giving a playful nod to Italian cinema through the ages – a visual reflection of this old world-meets new world concept. Colorful reproductions of vintage Italian cinema advertisements and black and white photographs of Italian stars and film makers envelop the space, punctuated by modern and traditional chandeliers, warm wooden tables, and an open bar with view to the action in the kitchen. Vibrant yellow tables and seating for 25 is available on the covered, front patio.
