The Georgian Terrace Hotel Promotes Guido Piccinni to Director of Operations

The Georgian Terrace Hotel by Sotherly Hotels announced the promotion of Guido Piccinni to director of operations for the historic Atlanta hotel property. Piccinni assumes the day-to-day operations as general manager Mark Williams assumes a new role as regional vice president of operations for the parent company, Chesapeake Hospitality.

“I can’t think of a more experienced and capable leader to oversee The Georgian Terrace Hotel team as I begin traveling and consulting with our other Sotherly Hotels,” says Williams. “It’s been exciting to watch Guido’s growth with the company as he brings a career’s worth of impeccable commitment to guest service to our guests.”

Piccinni joined The Georgian Terrace Hotel team in December 2015 as director of food and beverage. A native Italian, he is a seasoned hotelier and restaurateur with more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. He previously served as chief operating officer of the Atlanta-based Southern Proper Hospitality Group, where he was integral in developing their existing restaurants and establishing new concepts. He was also part of the acclaimed Five Diamond Award-winning team at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, leading food and beverage at The Mansion on Peachtree.

Piccinni began his career in Atlanta when he moved to the U.S. in 2004 and was named general manager for the esteemed Buckhead Life Restaurant Group restaurant Pricci. Under his guidance, Pricci was honored as one of “America’s 20 Best New Restaurants” by Esquire. Prior to his move from Italy, Piccinni served as general manager at Hotel Cresta & Duc, a boutique hotel with a three Michelin Star-rated restaurant.
