New salads at The Gastropig: Three new seasonal salads on the menu include Cobb Salad with grilled chicken, bacon, and blue cheese with creamy cilantro dressing; Chicken Citrus Salad with pistachios and cilantro citrus vinaigrette; and Kale Caesar Salad with pepitos and a hard boiled boiled egg. Despite an affection for pork products, TGP offers a plethora of vegetarian options, including fresh-made, pull-apart waffle iron hashbrowns with cheddar and scallions, house-made salads, grilled cheese on toasted sourdough, tomato soup, and avocado toast with cilantro crema.
For dessert, there’s Monkey Bread, a house-made hunk of warm brioche bread pudding drizzled with toffee sauce, in addition to chewy chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip bacon cookies.Monkey bread from The Gastropig
TGP’s most popular menu item is the Baconlover, an applewood smoked bacon sandwich with an over easy egg, cheddar cheese, and Aleppo chili aioli served on a brioche roll. Another perennial TGP favorite is its chunky-peanut-butter-and-seasonal-jam PBJ on toasted sourdough, which is even better served with a crispy slice of bacon.
