The American Society of Business Publication Editors announced winners of the 2015 Azbee Awards and FSR magazine was awarded Magazine of the Year. ASBPE presents numerous awards to leading business publications but the top honor is the Magazine of the Year award, which is presented in two divisions.
According to ASBPE, judging for the Magazine of the Year award is based on the quality of writing, reporting, and editing; value to the reader; editorial organization; interaction with readers; and layout and design.
“Winning this award is an amazing honor and a testament to the expertise of the team who works on FSR,” says Connie Gentry, editor of FSR. “However, our readers are the biggest reason for FSR’s success: Leaders from throughout the full-service restaurant industry have engaged with us and shared their stories. From high-profile chef/owners to regional restaurant groups and emerging multi-unit brands, telling their stories is what distinguishes FSR.”
FSR magazine launched in November 2012, published six issues in 2013, and has continued to grow each year. In 2016, FSR will publish monthly.
“This award is a notable accomplishment for a magazine that is in its third year of publication,” Gentry says. “From day one it’s been a cohesive team effort. Every issue is a collaborative effort between our editorial and design staff, contract and contributing editors, and the executive leadership and vision of the parent publishing company.”
ASBPE announced the winners of its 2015 Azbee Awards on July 24 in New York City.
