Danny is an award-winning journalist who has worked in print and online publications for nearly a decade. Since graduating from the University of Florida, he has held titles as sports editor, writer, and designer, covering everything from the Gators' men's basketball team to the prestigious Daytona 500 NASCAR race. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Danny is excited to delve into full-service restaurants, getting to know the personalities, leaders, and ever-changing trends that define the industry. He enjoys craft beer, especially local selections and Citra IPAs, and honeymooned in California's wine country. Danny tends to reach for a Pinot Noir or anything that pairs well with his wife's cooking.
Based in New York, Alia has written about cocktails, restaurants, and hotels for a number of outlets, including First We Feast, Wine Enthusiast, and Travel & Leisure. As the former managing editor of both Hospitality Design and Beverage Media, she has unique insight into two disparate industry realms. She worked with the Tippling Bros. on her first book project, A Lime and a Shaker: Discovering Mexican Cocktails, debuting in April on Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Jeff Cioletti combines his love of drink with a passion for travel, and one usually involves the other. He authored The Year of Drinking Adventurously, is founder of the website The Drinkable Globe, and his next book, Beer FAQ, is due out in October.
Brian Yaeger is the author of Red, White, and Brew: An American Beer Odyssey and Oregon Breweries. He contributed to the Oxford Companion to Beer and writes about beer for national publications as well as for local Oregon ones.
Kristine has covered wine since 2004 for publications that include Sommelier Journal, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Cabin Life Magazine, and Milwaukee Magazine, where her weekly Wine Notes column publishes. A seasoned visitor to wine regions that include Napa Valley, California; Bordeaux, France; and Portugal's Douro Valley, she's always up for a crisp glass of Marlborough, New Zealand, Sauvignon Blanc, or a luscious old-vine Zinfandel from Lodi, California. She's passionate about pairing food with wine and enjoys reporting on the latest in restaurant trends.
Amelia is a Chicago-based food writer, certified chef (Kendall College), and cookbook author/collaborator. A former reporter for the Chicago Tribune, her first book Chicago Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the Windy City debuted in 2013. She is an active member of the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) and the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and serves on the board of Les Dames d’Escoffier Chicago Chapter. In her spare time, she can be found running after her toddler, Jonah, or on the lakefront, and she also enjoys hosting dinner parties and dining out in the city.
