FSIC Signs With Clean Plate Restaurants

FSIC, a leading foodservice supply chain visibility and analysis company, announced that it has signed with Clean Plate Restaurants to help manage purchasing for the company's diverse portfolio of successful independent restaurants.

Clean Plate acquires and manages a diversified portfolio of successful independent restaurants. They acquired their first restaurant in September 2013. Since then, they have rapidly grown to a company of twelve restaurants located in six states. Clean Plate is building a national entity comprised of independent restaurants and small chains.

"We have partnered with FSIC to consolidate the number of SKUs in our system and streamline the number of manufacturers with whom we work," says Bob Peterson, SVP Operations for Clean Plate. “Given our business model of acquiring diverse concepts while retaining their brand and menu, we have inherited a large count of SKUs from a wide range of manufacturers. FSIC is helping us consolidate everything to a more manageable number, negotiate new manufacturer contracts and ensure compliance to product specs. Reconciling our purchases across our system will help us be more efficient, driving costs down. We are excited to have them as a partner in our growth process."

"Clean Plate has a unique business model in the restaurant industry that fits perfectly with what we do," says Jerry Wilhite, president and CEO of FSICI. "We are thrilled to help improve their supply chain efficiency and to be a part of their growth. We look forward to developing a long-standing relationship with Clean Plate, helping them to fulfill their ambitions."
