Frisch’s Big Boy is among the first in the nation to add Impossible Sausage Made from Plants to its breakfast menu. Impossible Sausage is a seasoned, juicy, savory patty that goes perfectly with Frisch’s fresh eggs, hash browns and toast and jelly—or on a delicious egg and cheese biscuit sandwich paired with Rooted Grounds Coffee.
“Frisch’s Big Boy continues to add healthier, more sustainable options to your menu of favorites,” says Jason Vaughn, president and CEO of Frisch’s. “Frisch’s is proud to be the first to offer Impossible Sausage Made from Plants in a fast casual dining experience.”
Compared to the leading brand of pork sausage, Impossible Sausage has the same amount of protein, 45% fewer calories, 60% less total fat, 50% less saturated fat, 60% more iron, 0 mg cholesterol and no antibiotics. Impossible Sausage uses less land, water, and has a lower climate impact than traditional sausage, creating a more sustainable food system.
Frisch’s debuted the Impossible Big Boy in 2019, made from Impossible Foods’ flagship product, Impossible Burger. The Impossible Big Boy features two patties made of plants, cheese, lettuce, pickle and Frisch’s Original Tartar Sauce on a double-decker bun.
