Friendly’s Restaurants is doing more than just screaming for ice cream ahead of National Ice Cream Day. That’s because America’s favorite family restaurant announced its partnership with Museum of Ice Cream for an exciting extravaganza to celebrate the holiday weekend.
On Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, participating Friendly’s Restaurant locations will welcome fans and ice cream enthusiasts alike to indulge in an array of sweet treat-themed activities—highlighted by the World’s Largest sprinkle pool at the iconic Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens in New York City that is sure to transport anyone into a world of sugary bliss in time for National Ice Cream Day.
“There’s really no better way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day than by stopping by your nearest Friendly’s to enjoy your favorite treat with the family,” says Friendly’s Restaurants President Dawn Petite. “It’s a day we look forward to every year, but this year’s celebration has the ultimate cherry on top—our partnership with the Museum of Ice Cream. It’s sure to be a day no one will forget.”

The party continues Sunday, July 16, for Friendly’s official Founders Day Celebration spreading joy and delight nationwide by giving the first 88 guests at every participating location a free limited-edition t-shirt and $0.88 single scoop cones, along with a complimentary Happy Endings Sundae coupon on their next visit. Guests will also receive a free Monster Mash tattoo to add a touch of nostalgia to their ice cream adventures.
Friendly’s is keeping the fun going to commemorate its Founders’ Day through Wednesday, July 18, marking 88 years since its first restaurant opened their doors in 1935 and honoring nearly nine decades of delicious excellence. And be sure to stop by the Friendly’s Online POP-UP Shop to pick up limited-edition Founders’ Day 2023 shirts and crewneck sweaters.
