Friendly's Ice Cream, LLC announces that Patrick (Pat) Hickey has joined the restaurant and ice cream company as its chief financial officer, effective April 23.
According to Jim Parrish, executive vice president, chief operating officer and interim CEO of Friendly's, Hickey brings to his new position a vast amount of experience from several industry sectors, including the airline industry, where he held roles with increasing levels of responsibility at Northwest Airlines, US Air, and American Airlines before taking a position in financial planning and analysis at Staples.
Hickey is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, a Master’s degree in industrial administration from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a Master’s degree in taxation from Bentley College.
"We feel fortunate to have a man with Pat's experience at our financial helm," Parrish says. "Pat's experience will be invaluable to the entire Friendly's organization as we continue to build on our company's 76 year history of providing great food and ice cream in a family-friendly environment."
