Franchising Vet Rounds Out Boston’s New Executive Team

Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, a Dallas-based casual dining concept that combines a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar under one roof, announced that Vince Runco will be the new Vice President of Operations. Runco’s hire closely follows the appointments of Eric Taylor as President and Mo Boutara as Vice President of Development and Franchise Sales, rounding out a team of franchising veterans as the new executive team at Boston’s.

No stranger to the industry, Runco has been working in restaurants since the young age of 13. Working his way through the industry, Runco came to serve as Senior Vice President of Operations at Cheeseburger in Paradise, creating scalable tools and programs for franchising and operations. From there, Runco accepted the position of CEO at Stockade Companies, the parent company overseeing three family buffet and steakhouse franchises. Runco will bring this vast operational and franchising knowledge to his new role in supporting Boston’s franchisees.

“In the casual dining space, Boston’s continues to stand out from the crowd and the brand has tremendous growth potential due to its dual family restaurant and sports bar concept, along with its outstanding quality of food,” says Runco. “I’m thrilled to be a part of this brand and help take Boston’s to new heights in the coming years.”

As the Vice President of Operations, Runco will be responsible for coaching, teaching and supporting Boston’s franchisees. By working so closely with franchisees and evaluating all locations, Runco will be able to determine best practices for the company moving forward.

“We’re excited to be welcoming Vince as the newest addition of Boston’s executive team,” says Eric Taylor, president of Boston Pizza Restaurants, LP. “Runco’s lifelong experience in the restaurant industry, matched with his enthusiasm and leadership abilities, will be vital to Boston’s growth in ensuring optimal operations for all current and potential franchisees.”

Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar’s U.S. operations are based in Dallas. The company currently has 28 locations operating in 22 states and 12 locations in Mexico. The company’s sister brand, Boston Pizza, has more than 400 locations throughout Canada and is considered the No. 1 casual dining brand in the country.
