Fox and Fiddle, the award-winning pub concept with locations throughout Canada, has begun franchising with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill. Although their current franchise locations are exclusive to Canada, this popular British-style pub will attract many franchise partners in new markets due to all it has to offer – including an experienced management team, a proven business model with over 23 years in operation, and a growing amount of press and ‘Best Of’ awards behind its concept.

While, as a pub concept, Fox and Fiddle thrives on their drinks and their fun atmosphere, we are also known for offering exceptionally high food quality.  We take a ‘gourmet’ approach to traditional pub favorites like burgers, wings and nachos.  Referring to ourselves as “merchants of fine pub fare”, the concept’s theme is excellent service, food quality and a great selection of domestic and imported draught beer at a reasonable price.

Fox and Fiddle has consistently been a part of the Toronto Sun Readers’ Choice Awards – a national milestone that is not only widely read and trusted, but televised as well.  Recognitions from the Toronto Sun include multiple Best Pub awards, as well as a Best Franchise Business award.  Pegasus Group, Fox and Fiddle’s parent company, has been listed on the Food Service Top 100, and in addition to multiple awards received on the local pub level from community papers and BIAs, Fox and Fiddle will be featured on the cover of the Spring Canadian Franchising online magazine.

Fox and Fiddle CEO, Terry Tsiano, says of the brand’s franchise expansion, “The vision for the Fox and Fiddle includes continued franchise development across Canada and into the United States.  We believe we’ve built a solid foundation for franchise growth with our Canadian locations and are excited to take that to the next level with Fransmart.  With the multitude of experience of our management team, our franchisees are sure to feel well supported.”  Speaking to this support, he notes, “One of the steps in the process we really stress is real estate – we take care to select only the highest quality sites for our franchisees and support them in finding these sites to ensure the greatest possibility of success.  There are current franchisees in our system that are still waiting to sign a lease – I’d rather they take the time to find an A-plus spot, than to rush the process in order to open their doors sooner.”

Fransmart Founder and CEO, Dan Rowe, says, “Fox and Fiddle is poised to be the leader in the pub segment.  They offer a superior franchise program with benefits that include a popular concept, favorable royalty fee, successful track record of expansion, high success rate for franchisees, and extensive training programs – as well as the fun workplace environment that comes with owning your own bar.”
