Fortessa Tableware Solutions, LLC and Cloud Terre, LLC announced the execution of a Letter of Intent for the integration of the Cloud Terre business into the Fortessa Tableware Solutions enterprise as Cloud Terre Studios.
Cloud Terre is a Virginia based design build studio engaged in the creation of bespoke handmade ceramics for distinctive restaurants in the greater DC metro area and across the United States. Cloud Terre's design and production quality have earned it a strong following among leading chefs as well as notice in national media. Cloud Terre Studios will operate as an independent entity focused on design and handmade production. In addition, the relationship with Fortessa Tableware Solutions will provide the opportunity to scale manufacturing capability to provide for a broader range of domestic artisanal small-batch production to bring the artisanal craftsmanship of Cloud Terre to a broader audience.
"As the company where new ideas take shape, we are delighted to be able to work with Cloud Terre to help this successful studio enterprise bring its authentic design and production to a wider group of customers. We are pleased to build upon our existing investment in U.S. and Canadian manufacturing as we expect that to continue to grow in importance in our overall supply chain," comments Scott M. Hamberger, CEO of Fortessa Tableware Solutions, LLC.
"We are excited to partner with an industry leader in tableware to continue to be able to grow our business while retaining our own unique design sensibility. This is a win for both companies, but more importantly for our customers as we can continue to meet their need for great design and functional product that differentiates the dining experience they provide," says Amber Kendrick, principal and creative director of Cloud Terre, LLC.
The new partnership will debut at the National Restaurant Show in Chicago May 21—24 in the Fortessa Tableware Solutions booth 6934, where Kendrick will be on hand to demonstrate her design build approach to the creation of unique tableware.
