Flaming Leprechaun enjoyed a smashing debut at the just-completed San Francisco World Spirits Competition by capturing a grand total of five medals (one for each of their products) including a pair of “Double Gold” medals won in the Vodka and Gin categories.

In all, Flaming Leprechaun went a perfect five for five by winning a silver medal in the Irish Whiskey category and bronze medals in both the Rum and Flavored Whiskey categories. These results go alongside an impressive pair of double gold medals for their Vodka and Gin, the highest possible rating in the extremely competitive spirit competition.

“We are thrilled with these phenomenal results,” said Jack Walsh, president of Three Hearts of Ireland. “There were a record number of entries this year with almost 1,900 brands entered from all over the world, so it’s an extremely competitive event with many fantastic brands. Getting such recognition for our products from one of the most distinguished judging panels in the world is a real honor.”

Flaming Leprechaun is a new player in the spirits industry and the brand’s premium products include a blended Irish Whiskey (92 proof), limestone filtered Gin (88 proof), Vodka (80 proof), a triple distilled Rum (80 proof) and of course its extremely popular Fiery Irish Cinnamon Spirit (70 proof).

“Our entire team has worked for many years to create, produce and perfect the finest quality and taste for each of our five distinctive spirits,” Walsh continues. “To debut at San Francisco and come away with such impressive results, including two double golds (Vodka and Gin, is a testament to the quality of our products. We believe that we’re offering something truly unique, a fun brand with premium quality spirits and our trademark signature packaging.”

“We are committed to guaranteeing quality,” said Walsh. “Each individual bottle is hand-sealed. We use natural ingredients and all of our products are completely free of propylene glycol. The Flaming Leprechaun range exemplifies exactly what our primary goal is; to deliver maximum value to our loyal and dedicated customers.”

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the nation's largest and most influential of its kind, has announced the medal and award recipients from its 16th annual competition, held March 17 through 20 at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. Out of this year's record-breaking 1,899 entries, only 201 were awarded the prestigious Double Gold medal by the 39-person judging panel. Since its introduction in 2000, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world. Emphasizing integrity and impartiality, the SFWSC takes great pride in ensuring that all entries are treated with equal care and consideration by their panels of carefully selected spirits-industry experts.

An SFWSC medal has come to be the most reliable indication of spirits excellence. Spirits recognized as medal-worthy by the competition’s judges are understood globally, by both the trade and consumers, to be the best the industry has to offer.

The judging panel at the 16th annual SFWSC was comprised of 39 industry experts, with many returning to the roster, including noted spirits writer and author David Wondrich, writer and photographer Richard Carleton Hacker, Master mixologist Dale DeGroff, also in attendance where Charles Joly, named Diageo’s “Best Bartender in the World,” Charlotte Voisey, Director of Brand Advocacy for Wm. Grant and Sons and Tony Abou-Ganim, A.K.A. the Modern Mixologist, serving as Director of Judging for his seventh year. Spirits educator and consultant Stephen Beal, who has served as a judge since the competition's inception, comments "The best palates in the world come to this competition, and the biggest personalities in the spirits business come here as well. We have a mixture of technical experts, historians, bartenders, and industry professionals. Every panel is very interesting and every product gets its own special look from several perspectives. This is why if you win a Double Gold or Best in Class award here, you can become an internationally acclaimed brand."

Flaming Leprechaun is a full line of spirits exported from Ireland for worldwide distribution.

The brand, which is deeply rooted in Irish heritage and culture, was created to offer consumers high-quality spirits that are fun in nature.

Each product is symbolized by the Emerald Isle’s most endearing mystical creature; the Leprechaun. King Ultan (Irish Whiskey), Fintan (Fiery Cinnamon), Lorcan (Vodka), Ronan (Gin) and Brendan (Rum) are the “Leprechauns behind the spirits.” The story and distinct personality of each leprechaun is told through a series of original poems on the back label of every bottle.
