Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, a classic American restaurant specializing in wood-grilled hand-cut aged steaks, fresh seafood, chicken and ribs, will open June 5, at 1930 E. Williams Field Road near SanTan Village in Gilbert, Arizona. Known for its bold flavors and scratch kitchen, Firebirds currently has two other Phoenix area locations—in Chandler and Peoria.

“We are thrilled to bring Firebirds’ warm hospitality to Gilbert,” says CEO Mark Eason. “The wood-grilled aromas from our exhibition kitchen, the inviting open layout and our professional staff will provide a wonderful welcome for guests as soon as they step through our doors.”

Firebirds offers a breadth of menu selections, including its signature Aged Ribeye, Filet Mignon, Wood Grilled Salmon, Durango Burger, Grilled Shrimp & Strawberry Salad, Lobster Spinach Queso and Creme Brulée Cheesecake. The Kids Menu offers healthy options certified by the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program. Firebirds also offers gluten-sensitive menu items, such as Grilled Tenderloin Salad, Beef Filet Kabob, Wood Grilled Salmon and Parmesan Mashed Potatoes.

In addition, the award-winning FIREBAR boasts an extensive selection of wines, including two private Firebirds labels, craft beers and specialty cocktails, such as the Double Black Diamond Martini infused with fresh pineapple. The FIREBAR also serves seasonal cocktails, such as the Hemingway Daiquiri, Ginger Basil Mango Mojito, Siesta Sangria and more. Firebirds offers unique and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks as well, such as the Strawberry Basil Cooler and Wild Berry Ginger Craft Soda.

Firebirds’ new Gilbert restaurant will be just the second location to feature the restaurant’s new, energetic design concept, which breaks from the traditional darker steakhouse look while still offering guests the warm and inviting atmosphere for which Firebirds is known. More modern design and décor include light-colored woods, charred black brick, floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed steel, contemporary light fixtures, abstract artworks and pops of teal to complement Firebirds’ signature red and orange. An open concept will give guests views of the exhibition kitchen, wood-fired grill, award-winning FIREBAR and lounge. Additionally, guests can enjoy their meals and drinks on a comfortable, enclosable patio perfect for any season.

As part of the company’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Firebirds will be participating in Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s (ALSF) annual fundraiser, Alex’s Lemonade Days, June 8-10 to raise money for childhood cancer research. All of the proceeds from the sale of house-made lemonade at a stand by the restaurant’s front door will be donated to the cause. Firebirds will also donate $1.25 per glass of house-made lemonade ordered in the restaurant to ALSF year-round. Nationwide, Firebirds has already raised more than $1 million for ALSF, one cup of lemonade at a time.

Firebirds is open Sunday—Thursday 11 a.m. —10 p.m. and Friday—Saturday 11 a.m.—11 p.m. Happy Hour, Monday through Friday 4—7 p.m., features specially priced appetizers and drink specials varying from wine and craft beer to specialty cocktails at the FIREBAR and patio. Guests can also enjoy half-priced glasses and select bottles of wine all day Monday each week on Wine Down Mondays.

The restaurant offers banquet services, catering, gift cards and online ordering for ToGo. In addition, guests who register for Firebirds’ Inner Circle will be the first to hear about upcoming events, promotions, new menu items and exclusive offers. Members will also receive a gift for joining and a gift on their birthday.
