Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to attend its exclusive truffle dinners on Friday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. The lavish dinners will feature exquisite wine pairings served alongside dishes prepared with both black truffles and the season’s most indulgent ingredient—Italian white truffles from Alba.
Italian white truffles are widely regarded as the most distinctive of all truffles, and their season runs typically from October to late December. Truffles grow in the wild, where they enjoy a symbiotic relationship with mature oak, beech and hazelnut trees, from which they draw carbohydrates while growing underground. For this reason, truffles cannot be cultivated. That fact, together with their unmistakably rich and umami-filled flavor, makes truffles a universally rare and sought-after ingredient.
