Known for prime seafood flown in daily, premium, hand-carved steaks, and live jazz trios nightly, Eddie V's will open in Kansas City on October 24. The new 9,800-square-foot restaurant will open in the Country Club Plaza district, joining the thriving shopping and nightlife destination.

With its legacy steeped in jazz and blues, Kansas City offers Eddie V's a comprehensive, yet refined palate and access to extraordinary culinary and musical talent. Eddie V's charismatic vibe draws guests in, inviting them to see and been seen, or simply sit back and savor an exceptional evening. The concept's eclectic atmosphere puts a modern twist on Prohibition-era speakeasies, where cocktails and jazz were the height of fashion. Live jazz and blues are played nightly by nationally and locally-acclaimed musicians in the restaurant's V Lounge, where guests can mingle and sample the Happy Hour menu.

"Kansas City has one of the most exhilarating and diverse food, cocktail and live music cultures in the country," says David Dworsky, managing partner, Eddie V's Kansas City. "We are excited to add our own charismatic vibe to the community."

The full Happy Hour menu features Chef's Teasers Half Shell Oysters, signature appetizer items, hand-shaken cocktails and wines by the glass. For an unparalleled dining experience influenced by Modern Asian, Classic American and Southern cuisines, guests can head into the main dining room.

Eddie V's serves only the freshest prime seafood from pristine water around the globe, including highly-prized seasonal items artistically prepared and presented. Additionally, premium steaks are hand-cut from the finest, specialty-aged, center-cut beef available to ensure peak flavor. The diverse dinner menu offers signature dishes including Crab Fried Rice, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Georges Bank Scallops, Point Judith Calamari, Parmesan Lemon Sole, a 10-ounce Prime New York Strip, and a Hot "Bananas Foster" Butter Cake for dessert.

Eddie V's Kansas City, located at 700 West 47th Street, will have a seating capacity of 318 guests across the main dining room and four private dining rooms. The space will offer a vibrant and welcoming ambiance highlighted by a glass-enclosed, walk-through wine cellar and contemporary, Art Deco-inspired design that draws the guest in to discover more around each corner. The V Lounge features an expansive oval-shaped bar top, cocktail tables and elevated booth seating, along with a small stage where local jazz, and blues trios perform nightly.
