Concessions International held a soft opening of Drew Pearson Sports 88 at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport last week. Located at Terminal E, Gate 5 the sports bar and restaurant, named after former Dallas Cowboys player Drew Pearson, who wore number 88, will host a grand opening with Pearson signing autographs on January 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Drew Pearson who has an active role with the restaurant will cut the ribbon for the official opening, meet with fans and sign autographs of his new book, “Hail Mary, The Drew Pearson Story.”

The bar and restaurant will feature a full menu of starters, salads, burgers and sandwiches, as well as a breakfast menu.  Menu favorites include The Original Frito Pie made with classic Frito Lay chips and smothered with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, melted cheese sauce, beef chili, scallions, jalapeno peppers, sour cream and served in its original bag; the Hold ‘em Long Texas BYO Burger, served with Drew Pearson signature sauce on a beer-flavored bun or Texas toast; and the Mr. Clutch BBQ Meat Sandwich, where guests can choose from smoked brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken breast or smoked turkey breast.

“Drew Pearson is a Texas icon with well-known in the U.S. and around the world for his professional sports career and his success as a business leader.  We are excited to bring Drew Pearson Sports 88 to the DFW Airport,” says Donata Russell Ross, CI’s Chief Executive Officer.  “We’ve created a menu to satisfy any Texas appetite and we look forward to serving locals and travelers alike.”

In addition to serving food and drinks, Drew Pearson Sports 88 will also offer a selection of Drew Pearson apparel. Pearson plans to play an active role in the restaurant and will regularly broadcast his live radio show from the restaurant

The new location is a joint venture between CI and Southwest Minority Financial Group, an ACDBE partner—airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise.  This is the first restaurant for the two companies.
