Dragontail Systems announced the appointment of Jon Weber and Jeff Wilbur to the Company’s Board of Directors. These appointments went into effect on January 4, 2021.
The selection and appointment of Jon and Jeff to the Board of Directors demonstrates their trust in the technological capabilities and potential of Dragontail Systems’ offerings. During 2020, the Company broke into the U.S. market, introducing groundbreaking technologies to the U.S. food industry that also served significant purpose in helping restaurants and owners and their staff navigate the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The addition of Jon and Jeff, given their expertise in the U.S. QSR space, will contribute to a continued and growing presence for Dragontail Systems in this crucial region.
Jon Weber joins the Board with more than 25 years of proven success with some of the world’s most well-known and respected brands in the restaurant industry: Applebee’s International, the largest casual dining chain in the U.S., where he held the position of Vice-President of Operations; Apple Investors Group (AIG), a privately held, multi-brand restaurant company, where he served as CEO and President; Cheddar’s Casual Café, Inc., where he officiated as an Executive Vice-President. Jon is currently the CEO and President of NPC International and holds other executive leadership roles with responsibilities across North America for Hard Rock International and Uno Restaurants, Inc.
Additionally, Jon is a consultant to the International Pizza Hut Franchise Holders Association (IPHFHA) Board of Directors, and a former Board Director for Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC.
Jeff Wilbur is a Senior Director at Eldridge, a holding company that grows diversified businesses across Insurance, Credit, Technology, Real Estate, Sports and Media, and Consumer. Headquartered in Greenwich, CT, Eldridge has invested in several QSR brands such as Aurify Brands (which includes Le Pain Quotidien, Melt Shop, Little Beet, Little Beet Table, and Fields Good Chicken). Jeff arrived to Eldridge from Mediabistro Holdings (“MBH”), where he served as CEO and oversaw all activities of the business units and corporate functions of the MBH platform.
Prior to Mediabistro Holdings, Jeff was the CFO of Prometheus Global Media and a member of the Corporate Credit Group at Guggenheim Partners. Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aurify Brands, and as Vice President for Horizon Acquisition Corporation II (NYSE: HZON).
