Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the opening of its third Del Frisco’s Grille, coming June 9 to the Esplanade in Phoenix (2425 E. Camelback Rd.). Del Frisco’s operates successful Grille concepts in New York and Dallas.

Del Frisco’s Grille is a new concept for the Texas-based restaurant group, also known for its more established award winning brands Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House and Sullivan’s Steakhouse. The new-kid-on-the-block Grille concept combines a comfortable and social atmosphere with exciting cuisine, an expansive wine list and hand-crafted cocktails.

The menu is diverse and accessible with a wide variety of plates to savor or share with friends. The restaurant infuses bold flavors and market-fresh ingredients into its menu, which consists of a tempting mix of prime steaks, fresh seafood, and twists on American comfort cuisine. Guests can expect an unparalleled level of hospitality and a menu of impeccable, chef-driven, affordable cuisine.

The restaurant is designed to capture the pulse of the area, inviting guests in with a blend of industrial and warm elements to create an atmosphere that is simultaneously stylish, social, and relaxed. The centerpiece bar and exhibition kitchen will evoke a sense of community.

As guests navigate through the energetic dining room, they are sure to be captivated by the expansive wine vault enclosed behind a wall of glass. Upstairs, the Summit Bar will offer al fresco dining and breathtaking views of the Camelback Corridor, Squaw Peak and dramatic Arizona sunsets. A fashionable entrance and exit is easy with the Grille’s complimentary valet service.

“We have an exciting opportunity to be a part of the rebirth of the corner of 24th Street and Camelback,” says Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “With Del Frisco’s Grille, we wanted to create a place that you want to bring friends and where you can meet new ones. It had to have an ease and familiar feel the moment you walk through the door–and, of course, great food, fantastic drinks, and our signature hospitality.”

Opening a restaurant in the area is a return home of sorts for Mednansky, who spent many years in the Phoenix restaurant scene, notably serving as director of operations for Big Four Restaurants.

The menu will offer selections of appetizers to share and fight over, innovative flatbreads, hearty salads, fresh selections from the sea, two-fisted sandwiches, and knife and fork entrees, as well as Del Frisco’s award-winning Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, renowned signature hand-cut prime steaks, and sharable sides.

Executive Chef Kevin Wemlinger's menu, equally bold and alluring, reflects the restaurant’s design. Guests can expect flavors that excite the senses, but soothe the soul with exciting variations of comfort classics, like Pimento Cheese Fritters, Prime Beef Short Rib Stroganoff, Veal Meatloaf, and Chipotle Three-Cheese Mac.

Del Frisco’s director of wine, David O’Day, has crafted a mammoth wine list that will stand out against any restaurant in the area. With more than 400 approachable selections, the list features a mix of old and new world wineries from the top regions of the world and many lesser-known vineyards.

Del Frisco’s Grille’s sommeliers are an added perk to diners, guiding guests to the perfect wine to sip with friends or complement their meal.

“The great thing about wine is how it brings people together,” O’Day says. “Our list reflects the communal spirit that is a cornerstone to not merely drinking wine, but really enjoying it. The aficionado will find enough twists and turns that they can dine with us daily and still stumble on something new. For the novice, there is a whole world to explore.”

For those looking for something other than wine, Del Frisco’s Grille will feature a selection of hand-crafted cocktails, such as the Apt. 5D; skinny cocktails; and signature shots on tap, such as the Honey Badger. The well stocked bar will also feature a curated selection of draft and bottled beers including local favorites and sought-after craft beers.

Del Frisco’s Grill will occupy 7,379 square-feet of space, plus an additional 3,000 square-feet of rooftop patio and bar space. The restaurant opens to the public June 9 with daily lunch and dinner service from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
