Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House New York welcomed Orlando Santana as general manager of the steak house collection’s flagship restaurant. Santana will lead management operations and guide the Steak House team.

With more than 30 years of hospitality experience and a passion for the fine-dining culinary scene, Santana has led front of house operations in upscale restaurant concepts across the tri-state area. Using his passion for great food and hospitality, Santana will apply his extensive knowledge to manage operations and continue Del Frisco’s Steak House New York City’s tradition of executing first-class dining experiences for guests with impeccable guest service and high-quality food. 

“We hired Orlando knowing his passion for hospitality and people would be key in successfully leading the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House flagship location and it’s been a pleasure seeing him grow into this role,” says Mark S. Mednansky, chief executive officer of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “His natural abilities in fostering an outstanding experience with both employees and guests gives us the confidence he will lead the restaurant to new heights.”

Santana studied business administration at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he cultivated his passion for the restaurant industry. He began honing his front-of-house management skills at high-end hospitality environments throughout his home state of New Jersey including Arthur’s Landing and River Palm Terrace. He later served as general manager and chief operation officer of the world famous Café Des Artistes in Manhattan, where he helped to further enhance the concept’s national culinary recognition. In 2013, Santana joined the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House New York team as assistant general manager and will now take the lead in maintaining the high-quality experience and high-touch relationships the restaurant is known for. When he isn’t at the restaurant, Santana enjoys spending time with his family and contributing to the ASPCA.
