New Year, new resolutions: Eat healthier and get a full meal with Daily Grill’s new Simply 600 Menu.

Made up of meals that are 600 calories or less, Simply 600 caters to everyone’s appetite including lower calorie salads, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, seafood, chicken, meat, and pasta dishes. While Daily Grill puts an emphasis on flavor and freshness, these lighter alternatives are also hearty full-sized portions.

“The Simply 600 menu items are designed for people who want to enjoy great food without the guilt,” says Vice President of Culinary Phil Kastel.

“Our Simply 600 menu offers lower calorie options for lunch and dinner, but you’d never guess that you’re limiting your caloric intake.”

The Simply 600 menu features two salads.  One is a Blackened Ahi Tuna Salad with fresh ahi tuna lightly seasoned with Cajun spices and seared rare. Also included is a Thai Noodle Chicken Salad with Napa cabbage, mandarin oranges, snow peas, and plenty of flavor.

The Daily Grill menu also offers lower calorie sandwiches, burgers, and tacos, all variations on Daily Grill favorites.

Known for their daily ground burgers, the new Simply 600 Burger is hand formed and served with a side of asparagus. The hand-formed Salmon Burger is topped with arugula and is served with a side of asparagus.

No one will miss the cheese on the Simply 600 Turkey Club Sandwich that comes with lean turkey, bacon and avocado and is served with fresh fruit. Daily Grill’s Fish Tacos are served with black beans and Spanish rice and topped with southwest dressing.

“The early response from our guests has been overwhelming,” notes Executive Vice President of Operations John Sola.

“They can’t believe the vast selection of large, flavorful portions, all fewer than 600 calories.”

Known for serving only the freshest made from scratch food at each of its 21 restaurants, the Daily Grill’s Simply 600 menu includes lower calorie options but isn’t just a menu full of salads.

There’s something for every palate. The Blackened Tilapia is topped with a lemon butter caper sauce and served with a grilled vegetable skewer. Other options include the Simply Grilled Atlantic Salmon with grilled asparagus and Idaho grilled Trout, which comes with Daily Grill’s signature peanut cole slaw.

The Grilled Herb Chicken Breast includes two pieces of boneless chicken served with spinach and fresh vegetables. Meat eaters will enjoy the tender Petite Filet Mignon. Italian classics also make an appearance: Chicken Marsala, Shrimp Pomodoro, and Chicken Meatballs are all served on a bed of angel hair pasta with homemade sauce.

As is, the menu items range from 318 calories to 590 calories. While substitutions are allowed under the Simply 600 menu, it may change the caloric intake and could increase the calorie count.

The Simply 600 menu is available for lunch and dinner at all the Daily Grill locations, with the exception of the Los Angeles Intl Airport Daily Grill. The Daily Grill has restaurants in eight states including, California, D.C., Texas, Washington, and Oregon.
