C&S Seafood to Open in Sandy Springs

C&S Restaurant Group Owners Rich Clark and Jonathan Schwenk announce the official opening of C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar’s second location in Sandy Springs on Monday, September 14. C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar will be located on the ground level of the Sandy Springs’ Modera complex at 6125 Roswell Road, Suite 700, Atlanta, GA 30328. 

With established roots in the Atlanta community, C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar is known for its timeless, classic atmosphere focusing on pristine seafood and prime steaks of the widest variety. C&S Restaurant Group opened its first C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar location in Vinings in 2007, and has since expanded with an additional casual New Orleans-style seafood concept, Hugo’s Oyster Bar, located in Roswell. While the C&S Sandy Springs location will preserve the brand’s timeless tradition, the new location will feature a few expanded menu items along with its own unique character.

Open for weekday lunch and dinner seven nights a week, each menu will closely reflect the original location with special new dishes from Executive Chef Tony Manns. A true Atlanta native, Chef Manns boasts an extensive food and beverage background working in various acclaimed restaurants including Veni Vidi Vici, Little Alley Steak and Chops Lobster Bar. Alongside Chef Manns, C&S Sandy Springs will welcome Executive Sous Chef Brett Maddox to help run the kitchen. Chef Maddox also spent many years working in the kitchen at Chops Lobster Bar following his previous experience at Atlanta’s Kevin Rathbun Steak and Aria. Both chefs will incorporate a wide variety of raw bar offerings, stand-out hors d'oeuvres, classic prime steaks, market fish and delicious entrée specials to the Sandy Springs location. Menu mainstays include RC's Chargrilled Oysters, Clam Chowder, Lobster Roll, Plateaux De Fruits De Mer, Prime NY Strip and much more.

The beverage program at C&S Sandy Springs is designed with an after-hours crowd in mind, featuring a wide selection of elegant signature cocktails. Alongside unique craft beer offerings, the wine list contains an expanded assortment from the Vinings location highlighting international wines with an emphasis on French red and white Burgundies. With a sprawling, luminous bar adjacent to the dining room, C&S Sandy Springs is the perfect spot for an after-work happy hour or pre-dinner cocktail. In addition, the restaurant will offer a divine dessert menu including scoops from Atlanta’s High Road Craft Ice Cream, Crème Brûlée, an Espresso Martini and more.

Designed by Z-Space Design, C&S Sandy Springs’ interior carries the classic identity of the original location with eye-catching materials, furniture, lighting and millwork. While considered transitional in its design, the Z-Space team concentrated on a modern interpretation of Art Deco with unique terrazzo floors, sculpted carpets, custom light fixtures and deep green tiled columns. Upon entering, guests can expect a suave, inviting atmosphere with warm two-toned millwork decorated with gold antiqued mirrors, rich leather chairs and stylish mohair accents. The 4,800 square-foot space will also include a semi-private dining area located on the mezzanine level along with an enclosed patio that will be usable year-round.

“We’re so excited to finally open our doors to the Sandy Springs community,” says co-owner Rich Clark. “A lot of hard work has gone into this opening, and we can’t wait to safely share this milestone with our old and new customers.”

C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar will follow all CDC guidelines while adhering to a strict internal safety protocol for each stage of opening. Staff members will undergo daily health inspections, which will include temperature checks before entering the building. All employees have been trained on proper safety and sanitation procedures and are required to wear a mask in customer service areas at all times. The restaurant will also provide hand sanitizing stations in addition to touchless QR code menus at each table. All tables both inside the building and on the patio will be spaced six feet apart to encourage social distancing and will be thoroughly sanitized in between each party.
