The Locke family and The Crossing at Hollar Mill announced Candace Tait as the Assistant Event Director. Tait will oversee events at The Crossing at Hollar Mill, Highland Avenue, and Music In The Mill.
Tait brings a wide range of event experience to the team. Having worked for many years in Wilmington, North Carolina, at Bluewater Grill, she understands what it takes to create a hospitable and excellent event
“My goal is to provide extreme hospitality while executing unforgettable events. This goal has been easily achievable by working with such a supportive and inspirational team at The Crossing. From weddings and concerts to corporate gatherings, our vision is to not only host extraordinary events but to also create memories within our community. My love and passion for this industry has only grown since arriving here in April. I am really looking forward to become an active member in the local event industry, as well as helping to build the Hickory community,” Tait says.
Tait grew up in Troutman, North Carolina, before moving to Wilmington to earn her degree from East Carolina University. The Crossing opened in 2013 and is part of the Carolina Moon Hospitality family of restaurants. Located in Hollar Mill at 883 Highland Avenue SE in Hickory, the restaurant serves dinner Monday through Saturday and is also available for luncheons and special events.
Tait embraces the philosophy of making our guests feel comfortable and welcomed, and she specializes in customer service and client relations. Crossing’s continued progression with reflect Tait’s enthusiasm and professionalism, along with valuable input from Meg Locke.
