Louisville-based Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. appointed new distribution and broker representation partners for its American Brandy and Absinthe spirits in six key Mid-Atlantic states: Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Connecticut. The Kentucky craft distiller has also negotiated new distribution partnerships in Rhode Island and South Carolina. Copper & Kings American Brandies were launched in June 2014 and are currently available in 21 states with the additional markets taking the line to 27 total states.
“We’ve spent the last 6 months very focused on our existing partners and markets,” says founder Joe Heron. “We continue to hone our craft; we continue to develop exceptional spirits. We are building a team that has intimate knowledge of the brand, their craft, and their community constituents. We are ready for the next phase of expansion.”
“We have a great network of distributor partners,” adds senior vice president of commercial operations Shane Rietow. “We are excited to be working with the Southern Glazers team in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia – we think that they are aces, absolute professionals, and our first heritage Southern Wine additions to our original Glazers footprint.”
“Ledroit Brands have deeply embedded themselves personally and professionally with Copper & Kings, and we are proud and enthusiastic to partner with them in Maryland and Delaware as they join with the Prestige Beverage Group.”
“We’ve focused on the East Coast for some time, and are really pleased to return to the Zanella family fold with Rhode Island Distributing, and North East Beverage of Connecticut. We have been busy … we also moved our South Carolina distribution to Breakthru Beverage—and everyone knows what a great outfit Breakthru is.”
“So all in all, first class partners at every level, in all markets, and timed to execute in to peak selling season of October, November, and December.”
