City Winery Atlanta to Reopen for Events on May 17

Located at Ponce City Market, City Winery Atlanta, the one-of-a-kind restaurant featuring an intimate music venue and fully operational winery, is reopening today, May 12, with new Executive Chef Will Artley and exciting design enhancements. Following the reopening of the restaurant and winery, the music venue of City Winery will reopen for events on May 17.

Seasoned Executive Chef Will Artley takes the reigns of the kitchen with an extensive resume, including experience cooking at Evening Star Cafe and Pizzeria Orso in the  D.C. area, on Food Network’s Chopped, as a guest chef at the White House and as a collaboration with Former First Lady Michelle Obama on the national "Chefs on the Move" project. During dinner service at City Winery, Executive Chef Artley will use his varied background and culinary skill to introduce new dishes alongside City Winery favorites like Fried Green Tomato (fried green tomato / pimento cheese / tomato jam) and Steak Frites (hanger steak / garlic and herb rub / herb fries / tarragon and duck fat compound butter). As the only winery in Atlanta, the restaurant and venue offers guests the combined culinary and cultural experience of marrying upscale dining with intimate concerts and an immersive winemaking process. The full menu is available here and reservations can be made here.

The multi-functional space at Ponce City Market, the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co. building in Atlanta, will reopen with tasteful updates to its patio, including seasonal fire pits for cooler weather, new plush, lounge seating and umbrellas to allow guests to relax alfresco under string lights. The restaurant’s interior features a rustic-meets-modern design with fresh color on the walls, fully refurbished floorings and new artwork inspired by City Winery’s series of jazz wine bottles (see more on the series here). With an intimate live-music space, stunning winery, restaurant and bar, spacious patio and tasting room, the space has flexible options available to rent for private events including weddings, galas, conferences, team building events and more.

"Our team at City Winery is so excited for the reopening today,” says founder Michael Dorf. “We’ve made huge improvements to the space and can't wait to welcome guests for good wine and good food, under the direction of our new Executive Chef Will Artley. His talent will truly elevate the menu.”
