Restaurant Holmes, the much-anticipated neighborhood restaurant and bar from Executive Chef Taylor Neary, is set to open July 11 inside the historic Jones House at Alpharetta City Center. Chef Taylor, most recently of Marcel and St. Cecilia, features eclectic shareable small plates on the dinner menu alongside a well-thought beverage program. Beginning shortly after opening, the restaurant will also offer lunch service everyday.

Open seven days per week, Restaurant Holmes will serve an eclectic American menu that changes often. Dishes will be simply prepared with locally sourced ingredients, including from Levity Farms in Milton, GA. The dinner menu will include around 20 small plates, such as Tepache Glazed Shishito Peppers and Bone Marrow Toast. Lunch service will begin shortly after opening and will offer guests a menu of seasonal salads, small plates and sandwiches served a la carte. Chef Taylor Neary will have a seasonal soft serve ice cream that is made in house.

Sam Schlif, previously of Local Three and Seed Kitchen & Bar, will lead the bar program, which features six cocktails prepared with creative ingredients made in-house, eight draft beers on tap including a rotating tap from Variant Brewing Company in Roswell, GA, as well as, a wine list including 15 red wines, 12 white wines and a handful of reserve wines priced at more than $100 per bottle.

Chef Taylor Neary attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta. During that time, he worked at Stoney River Grill, Roswell’s legendary steakhouse, before continuing on to Buckhead Life Group’s Kyma. Over the last seven years, Chef Taylor has helped lead kitchens at acclaimed restaurants across town including Roux on Canton, Little Alley Steak, Opulent, St. Cecilia and Marcel, where he most recently served as Sous Chef. “Holmes” is a six-generation family name for Taylor.

Built in 1915, the Jones House is a historic building and former residence preserved by Alpharetta City Center. The once quaint family home now showcases a handsome interior with leather banquettes, dark geometric tile and shades of gray, brown and navy. Design features include graffiti and skateboards on the walls, pendant lights above the bar and murals by renowned local artist Greg Mike in the dining room and restrooms. The casual design and relaxed atmosphere will be juxtaposed with the restaurant’s superior hospitality and refined dishes served on custom ceramics from Noble Plateware out of New York. The intimate space will offer 60 seats indoors with an additional 40 seats on a covered porch and patio. A semi-private room off the main dining room will also offer space for gathering.
