Shortly after announcing the second location of The Americano coming to Atlanta, two-time James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur Chef Scott Conant shares that the Italian-inspired steakhouse will officially open to the public for dinner service on Monday, May 23. Located within the luxurious InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta – which is currently in the final stages of a complete transformation – The Americano blends a European style of highly personalized service with contemporary dining to create an exceptional and convivial experience.
“The Americano bridges the gap between the deliberate touch of alta cucina and the soul of cucina rustica,” says Conant. “In other words, guests will experience the top quality, distinctive flavor profiles, stunning presentation and superior level of service of a high-end restaurant, but with more approachability.”
Similar to its Scottsdale counterpart, The Americano’s menu will feature a range of dishes, from fine steaks, including prime and American Wagyu beef, to house-made pasta, organic salads, Italian antipasti and Mediterranean seafood. Diners can expect some of Chef Conant’s signature dishes as well, including pasta al pomodoro, polenta “cremosa,” caviar fries, Hamachi crudo, and braised wagyu beef cheeks. Conant’s culinary offering shares the spotlight with an inventive cocktail program that is playful and intricately devised. The wine list is thoughtfully curated with selections from iconic, established and emerging Italian and American producers.
Designed by KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group with influence by Creation Equity’s artful conception of the original Scottsdale location’s stunning interiors, the restaurant offers a sophisticated, moody atmosphere that complements the elevated ambience of Buckhead – one of the city’s most prominent neighborhoods known for its upscale living, high-end shopping and fine dining. Guests will be greeted by custom sculptural artwork by Peter Deise, an island bar area and lounge, a large outdoor dining patio and show-stopping lighting. Unique wire light fixtures add a warm glow, while pops of green add a cool touch to the interior design. The café also features al fresco seating on an intimate patio.
