Chef Michael Lachowicz Reopens George Trois Restaurant

Much to the delight of food aficionados on Chicago’s North Shore, Chef Michael Lachowicz has re-opened his award-winning George Trois restaurant (64 Green Bay Road, Winnetka, IL; 847-441-3100) on Saturdays only. George Trois, which was named Restaurant of the Year at the 2019 Jean Banchet awards, offers an avant-garde experience with a skillfully crafted tasting menu of classic and innovative French cuisine.

Only 12 guests will be booked per Saturday at George Trois and appropriate social distancing and health safety precautions will be taken. For reservations, please call Sergio Angel, General Manager, at the restaurant at (847) 441-3100.

George Trois, which opened in 2015, was the brainchild of Lachowicz, who wanted to showcase his widely acclaimed French culinary virtuosity in an intimate, unpretentious setting. There are only five tables, and the table service is superlatively classic with a touch of whimsical fun.

Anyone who knows Lachowicz understands that while he takes his food very seriously, his larger than life personality is far from serious. He is informal, friendly and fun, and he takes care of all guests like they were VIPs. “As far as I’m concerned, all of my guests are VIPs,” he said, "and they deserve the finest—a memorable dining experience.”

Lachowicz’s proud exuberance—and his perfectly crafted, ever-evolving culinary art—have kept his guests coming back for years.

George Trois’ re-opening menu features an 8-course dégustation (tasting menu) and is preceded by a signature GT French 75 Cocktail. The price per person is $220, exclusive of wine service.
