Red Book Solutions announces a partnership with the California Restaurant Association (CRA) to provide daily playbooks that positively support managers’ performance to drive profitability.

The Manager’s Red Book – CRA Edition andThe Heart of the House Yellow Book – CRA Edition (coming soon) incorporate the California Food Handler Program and ServSafe compliance practices.

In early 2012, Red Book Solutions partnered with the CRA to provide tools to the restaurant industry based on the nationally renowned Manager’s Red Book. In addition, RBS contracted with the National Restaurant Association to be the sole supplier of daily planners featuring ServSafe and ServSafe Alcohol policies and procedures.

The solutions will improve the safety, operational efficiency, and profitability of CRA member’s restaurants.

“We’re confident our members will find the Red Books Solutions offerings to be an extremely effective and practical way to aid day-to-day management of their restaurants,” says CRA President and CEO Jot Condie.

“Operators rightly hold ServSafe in such high regard, and these additional tools will only serve to enhance the training and development programs already in place in any operation.”

The restaurant business has its complexities primarily due to the simple fact that it deals with maintaining and preparing food. In fact, the statistics alone may cause an eager entrepreneur to reconsider investing in or opening a restaurant.

For example, food-borne diseases cause approximately 76 million illnesses, 325,000 hospitalizations, and 5,000 deaths in the United States each year, according to Statistics from the Center for Disease Control.

“We’ve been in partnership with the top restaurant brands for more than 20 years,” says Shiloh Kelly, vice president of marketing and business development for Red Book Solutions.

“Our firm seeks new ways to make good managers better. We’re proud to be the sole provider of ServSafe content through our flagship product the Manager’s Red Book product line. It’s clear the CRA wants to offer its membership the tools to protect, practice and perform every day.”

As all of those in the restaurant industry are familiar with ServSafe and the Manager’s Red Book, which together provide a wide range of benefits such as: ensuring better compliance, updating quarterly National Health Codes, and providing sustainability staff ServSafe training. Additionally, the books boast new checklists around energy monthly green audits to create cost savings and support conservation.

California Restaurant Association members receive a 10 percent discount when ordering any of the CRA playbooks. Playbooks may be purchased online at: www.bettermanagers.com/california
