Cafe-Ba-Ba-Reeba! to Open Little Sister Concept in Chicago's River North

After 35 years, Cafe-Ba-Ba-Reeba!, the iconic tapas bar in Lincoln Park, is getting a little sister with the opening of Lil’ Ba-Ba-Reeba! (441 N. Clark St.) in Chicago’s River North this Thursday. The new Ba-Ba-Reeba! outpost is open for dine-in, carryout and delivery and features a menu of Cafe-Ba-Ba-Reeba!’s greatest hits from signature pintxos and tapas as well as a selection of classic sangrias served by the glass or pitcher. Reservations are now live!

The menu from Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!’s Executive Chef Eric Jorgensen includes iconic plates like Spicy Potatoes, Bacon-Wrapped Dates and Baked Goat Cheese, as well as dishes unique to the new location including Rioja-Braised Short Rib with manchego mashed potatoes, and more. Sip on sangria including Classic Red, Rosé, sparkling Cava and seasonal Sangria Del Día, handcrafted Spanish cocktails, as well as an extensive selection of Spanish wines and bottled beers.

“Right on the heels of our anniversary at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!, we’re taking everything we love from the last 35 years and bringing them downtown,” says Mark Sotelino, partner at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! and Lil’ Ba-Ba-Reeba! “The Ba-Ba-Reeba! brand has been a beloved part of Chicago's culinary history and during this time, we are excited to be able to bring some of our signature tapas and sangria to our guests in River North."

Lil’ Ba-Ba-Reeba! boasts an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of the electric tapas bars tucked away in the streets of Spain. The cozy space is filled with Spanish-inspired artwork, bottled vintners, pendant lamps and hanging charcuterie boards that surround a bustling open kitchen.

Lil’ a-Ba-Reeba! is located at 441 N. Clark St. in Chicago’s River North. The restaurant is open Monday – Thursday from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM and Sunday from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Dining room reservations are encouraged and can be made via Tock and the restaurant is equipped with an AirPHX air filtration system to keep you safe. Additionally, private and heated greenhouse seating is coming soon, reservations can be booked via Tock.
