Besides the fans, no one is more excited for the return of football season than Buffalo Wild Wings. After a spring and summer campaigning on behalf of fans to “Save Our Season,” the sports grill and bar is celebrating football with a variety of rewards and promotions – highlighted by the pay-off of coupons for six free wings for the 45,152 fans that supported the Save Our Season Facebook Petition.

Beginning Thursday, September 8, and including every pro football game day in September, everyone who supported the petition will be able to redeem their coupon for six free traditional wings – spun in any of Buffalo Wild Wings’ 14 signature sauces – at their local Buffalo Wild Wings location.

Buffalo Wild Wings spiced up the "Save Our Season" movement in June with its free wing pledge dependent upon the players and owners settling their labor negotiation by the start of training camp. They missed the deadline by a few days, but Buffalo Wild Wings made good on its offer and will be giving out more than 270,000 free wings to guests on pro football game days in September.

Fans that supported the petition just need go to the Buffalo Wild Wings Facebook page to download and print the coupon for six free wings.

“The competitive spirit is in the air and we know September will be an exciting month at Buffalo Wild Wings,” says Kathy Benning, Buffalo Wild Wings executive VP, marketing and brand development. “Our restaurant teams are ready to deliver a great game day experience and serve up more than 270,000 free wings. We’re wrapping up another season of fantasy draft parties in our restaurants and with all the pro and college football rivalries kicking off this week we’re more thrilled than ever to be the place to be to meet up with friends to watch all the action.”

Buffalo Wild Wings is celebrating the return of football through a number of promotions this year:

  • Also beginning this week, guests who visit Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will be able to download the SCVNGR smart phone app to participate in the Tablegating Challenge. SCVNGR offers in-restaurant challenges that allow Buffalo Wild Wings guests to earn points each week for immediate rewards and the chance to win the Ultimate Tablegating Experience for a game each week. A total of 13 weekly grand prizes will be awarded from September 5 through December 4, 2011.
  • Trey Wingo, host of ESPN’s NFL Live, has signed on as the official spokesman of football viewing at Buffalo Wild Wings for the third consecutive year. Wingo will conduct interviews and send tweets from his Twitter handle @wingoz on behalf of Buffalo Wild Wings initiatives throughout the 2011 football season, concluding in Indianapolis in February 2012.
  • This week marks the conclusion of another successful fantasy football draft party promotion by Buffalo Wild Wings, attracting thousands of draft parties in the more than 780 locations in the United States and Canada. Fantasy football leagues that held their draft parties at Buffalo Wild Wings this August and September each received a complimentary draft kit containing $100 in gift certificates, draft board, player stickers, koozies, and a championship pennant.
