On April 7, beer lovers around the country will raise their glasses and enjoy cold brews to celebrate National Beer Day.

At Buffalo Wild Wings, the birthplace of this hoppy national holiday (see below), beer is celebrated every day of the year. With 50 million draft beers served annually, a new rotating tap series offering fans one-of-a-kind brews before they’re available anywhere else and beer delivery pilot programs in select U.S. markets, it’s easy to see why B-Dubs is the No. 1 draft account for beer in the country.

This year, Buffalo Wild Wings is celebrating National Beer Day by treating members of its Blazin’ Rewards loyalty program to 100 bonus points with each eligible purchase on April 7.

Here are a few facts about Buffalo Wild Wings’ beer program:

The Birthplace of National Beer Day: In 2009, beer lover Justin Smith came up with the idea for a designated day to celebrate his favorite beverage while he was at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Richmond, VA, establishing B-Dubs as the birthplace of National Beer Day.

B-Dubs Brew Series: This February, Buffalo Wild Wings launched the B-Dubs Brew Series, a rotating tap series that brings new and unique beers to fans before they’re available anywhere else. The first beer featured is Stone Scorpion Bowl IPA from Stone Brewing out of San Diego, CA.

Beer Delivery: In January, B-Dubs launched a pilot program offering fans the opportunity to add select beer and wine to their DoorDash delivery and takeout orders at 19 restaurants in California (LA, SF, Sacramento, San Diego). The program allows customers to build their own six-pack by mixing and matching select domestic, craft and imported beers.

Beer Sales: In 2017, B-Dubs sold nearly 2 billion ounces of beer—the equivalent of more than 1 million kegs and enough beer to fill 23 Olympic-sized pools. Craft beer accounts for approximately 35 percent of total beer sales annually.
