Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar (Boston’s), a Dallas-based casual dining concept that combines a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar under one roof, announced that Mo Boutara will be the new Vice President of Development and Franchise Sales. Boutara’s enthusiasm and positive outlook, matched with his wide breadth of leadership experience, will be an essential part of Boston’s growth strategy moving into 2017.

Boutara brings over 10 years of franchise experience with him to his new role at Boston’s. From Quiznos to Squeeze Fresh Smoothies, Boutara has been a critical role in the expansion of several restaurant franchises, including his most recent role as Senior Director of Franchise Sales at Rita’s Italian Ice. Boutara’s expansive franchising knowledge will allow him to immediately launch a new franchise development plan to promote Boston’s growth throughout the upcoming years.

“I instantly became intrigued by Boston’s when I came across the brand,” says Boutara. “The restaurant’s dual family dining and sports bar concept sets them apart from other competitors in the casual dining space and allows for immense growth potential. I’m thrilled to be taking on this role and for the chance to see our development plans come to fruition.”

As the Vice President of Development and Franchise Sales, Boutara will be responsible for four main initiatives: recruiting high quality franchisees, overseeing the grand opening process for new locations, transferring underperforming locations to new franchisees, and serving as a beacon of leadership, motivation, and influence to all franchisees. Boutara will be implementing these practices in order to achieve the goal of opening at least 10 new Boston’s locations in 2017.

“We’re excited to be welcoming Mo Boutara as the newest member of the Boston’s executive team. His extensive experience will be vital in implementing Boston’s strategic growth plans,” says Eric Taylor, President of Boston Pizza Restaurants, LP. “Mo exemplifies what it means to be a great leader, and his enthusiasm and initiative will take Boston’s to new heights in 2017 and the years to follow.”

Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar’s U.S. operations are based in Dallas. The company currently has 28 locations operating in 22 states and 12 locations in Mexico. The company’s sister brand, Boston Pizza, has more than 400 locations throughout Canada and is considered the No. 1 casual dining brand in the country.
