On The Border Preps for Cinco de Mayo with Drink Specials, Mobile Games, and Meal Kits

On Wednesday, May 5, On The Border is hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration unlike any other. Dine-in guests can sip on the world’s largest Mexican casual-dining brand’s Grande House ‘Rita for just $5. Or make your ice-cold marg even bolder by upgrading to a fruit-flavored margarita for $1.50 more or by adding a Gold Tequila Meltdown for an additional $1.

To add to the border-style festivities, On The Border will also offer a limited number of Grand Marnier commemorative sidecars on a first come, first serve basis (each restaurant will have limited quantities). When guests order a Grand Marnier meltdown, they’ll receive an exclusive sidecar shot glass and can take it home with them!

“Cinco de Mayo is always a huge celebration for On The Border,” says Chief Marketing Officer Edithann Ramey. “Due to the fact that dining rooms were closed last year, we missed getting to see all of our regulars that love to visit us on Cinco de Mayo every year. But this year, we have options for every fiesta-goer with dine-in specials, as well as to-go and catering options. With our restaurants and patios open once again, we can’t wait to be the Cinco de Mayo headquarters for loyal fans and new guests alike again.”

Along with On The Border’s delicious drink specials, the brand has partnered with Avocados From Mexico (AFM), the number one selling brand of Avocados in the U.S., to launch the “Feed The Fiesta” mobile game to kick-off Cinco de Mayo.  Users can prepare and serve fresh On The Border menu items featuring avocados to earn a Free Guacamole appetizer. Dishes made with fresh avocados like Guacamole, Street Tacos and Border Style Bowls are perfect pairings to margaritas to enjoy during Cinco de Mayo.  The game is available to play on any mobile devices at https://www.ontheborder.com/events/feedthefiesta

Planning on hosting a fiesta elsewhere? On The Border has guests covered with its Cinco Meal Kits – including Fajita Family Meal, Build Your Own Taco Kit, Make Your Own Guacamole Live Kit – plus add a gallon-sized margarita canteens to-go. Enjoy new recipes for items like Premium, Mesquite-Grilled Fajitas with more tender steak rich in flavor or handcrafted tacos with better quality ingredients in every bite either for dine-in or to-go. Or host the ultimate fiesta through On The Border’s Catering program.  From boxed wraps and burritos to bowls and fajitas, On The Border catering has you covered on individually packaged meals for the family or a team.  On The Border is waiving delivery fees for catering orders of $100 or more as well as offering safe, contactless delivery options.

As always, On The Border’s top priority is the health and safety of its guests, which is why it has teamed up with Uber to help guests get home safely on May 5. Guests visiting On The Border on Cinco de Mayo can simply ask team members how to save $10 on their Cinco ride. On The Border restaurants have also reopened under a “People First” program with the most enhanced level of standards that involve processes implemented to ensure a safe environment for its guests.
