In partnership with Korean franchisee company JRW Inc, popular Tex-Mex destination On The Border announced the opening of its newest international location.
The new restaurant opened its doors on October 6th in the Global Fair area of South Korea’s Everland theme park, the largest theme park in the country located at the Everland Resort in Yongin. This opening marks the 14th full-service international location through the brand’s partnership with JRW. JRW remains dedicated to developing On The Border in Southeast Asia and continue the lineup of On The Border retail products.
“We’ve been looking forward to this opening for some time now,” says Brian Shaughnessy, Vice President of Franchise Development at On The Border. “This is our first restaurant in a theme park and with our current success in South Korea, we’re confident On The Border will resonate with the nearly 6 million park visitors each year.”
Since 2007, JRW has been an integral part of On The Border’s international expansion. With more than 15 full and quick-service locations operating in South Korea, the JRW team has seen immense success in serving the brand’s Border-Style Mexican cuisine to its Asian consumer base.
